SEND
The Greenfield and Hurst Drive Federation believes in offering all its pupils a fully inclusive learning experience. We are committed to providing educational opportunities which will help our pupils reach their full potential. In this school, inclusion recognises a child’s right to a broad, balanced, relevant and challenging curriculum that is appropriate to children’s individual abilities, talents and personal qualities.
Our Special Educational Needs Coordinator (SENCo) is responsible for coordinating the provision, assessment, planning and monitoring the progress of children with special educational needs or disabilities in our school.
The Local Offer lets parents and young people know what special educational needs and disabilities services are available in Hertfordshire, and who can access them.
Delivering Specialist Provision Locally (DSPL)
DSPL is a Hertfordshire-wide partnership approach where parents, staff in early years settings and schools, further education colleges, local authority officers and representatives from other agencies, work together as part of an Area Group, reviewing and developing the range of provision and support services available to their local community.
