Overarching aims of our EYFS Curriculum:

By the end of Reception, our intention is that all children will:

 Talk confidently about themselves as learners

 Persevere when they meet challenges

 Have their own interests and fascinations

 Be willing to take risks and have a go at new things

 Have the physical strength, skills and motivation they need to be writers

 Know and enjoy the reception core texts

 Have an interest and growing understanding of their immediate world

 Have a secure understanding of numbers to ten and the ability to apply this knowledge to every-day life and problem-solving  Be able to read and write sentences independently

 Have developed a broad vocabulary to enable them to talk about the content of the EY curriculum
