How is the school organised?

Our school is organised into 14 classes with two classes in each year group.  Each class has an assigned class teacher and we have a team of higher-level teaching assistants, teaching assistants and learning support assistants who work across the school in an effort to ensure 'Success for All'.

How do I give permission for my child to walk home or exit the classroom alone?

If a parent/carer makes the decision to let their child walk home alone (or exit the classroom on their own at the end of the school day) they should make this known in writing, either by writing and signing a handwritten note or via e-mail to admin@hurstdrive.herts.sch.uk. 

Late Collection

Children not collected from their classroom (Reception, Year 1 and Year 2) or from the playground (Years 3-6) will be taken to the Dining Hall.  A parent/carer should go to the School Office to collect their child.  Parents and carers should read our Late Collection of a Child Policy to know the procedure we follow for lateness.
